Description:

The objective of this publication is to support the Southern African reconstruction and regional development process with a comprehensive overview of the activities of the region's development role-players.

The directory consists of introductory chapters by leading figures in the regional and international development field and a listing of development-related organisations involved in the Southern African development process. It covers the fourteen member countries of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) (Angola, Botswana, Congo, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe).

The more than 5000 organisations covered by this publication include government departments, parastatals, research institutions, business organisations, corporate social investment programmes, NGOs, CBOs, training institutions, local and international donor agencies, United Nations agencies and diplomatic representation in Southern Africa.
