HSRC Press hits the Top 10!

Every Step of the Way, the fresh examination of South Africa's past published by the HSRC Press in April 2004, was recently reported in the Sunday Times as ranking in the Top 10 Non-Fiction Books currently on sale in South African bookstores.

As archaeologist Patrick Mbunwe-Samba is quoted in the book as saying: "There is no greater treasure for the modern man than to know his past well as a basis for assessing and understanding the future."

A new editorial board for a new editorial period

Signaling a new and more dynamic stage in the life of the HSRC Press, an editorial board has been constituted, comprising of ten members with different but complementary skills. With editorial experience reflecting the diversity of the social sciences, these specialists will work together to push the recently created HSRC Press into a well-established position within international spheres of academic publishing.
